Policies

New Client Consultations

All new clients are required to book a consultation prior to booking a service. Read more about consultations here. Consultations ensure that we are both set up for success prior to your service, and it will enable me to give you an accurate estimate of how long your service will take as well as pricing. 

Gender Neutral Pricing

 Long gone are the days of  salon pricing based on what's in your pants. All prices are determined by time, labor, and cost of product. 

Payments/Deposits

All clients are required to have a  credit/debit card on file to book a service. 

Deposits are required for all Haircolor Services and  initial Eyelash Extension installations. Read more about deposits here

Deposits only go towards completed services and do not cover late/cancellation fees.

I believe that salon services shouldn't be a luxury only a few can afford. Payment plans are available for certain appointments and we can discuss options that fit your budget during your consultation.

Health, Safety, and Accommodations

Emerald Beauty Lounge is an inclusive salon and my salon chair is a safe space for all. There is a zero-tolerance policy for discrimination of any kind. If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all. 

Clients are only allowed one guest during their appointment. Our salon is busy, so guests will be required to stay in the waiting area. For lengthier services, bringing a guest is not recommended. Children under 8 are not allowed in the salon unless they are receiving a service themselves. Disruptive guests or children will not be allowed back to the salon. 

Clients receiving an Eyelash Extension Service are not allowed to bring any children as a guest. This is because the lash studio is in a separate room from the rest of the salon and children will not be able to be supervised. 

If you are experiencing any cold/flu-like symptoms, please reach out to reschedule your appointment. You may be asked to leave the salon and encouraged seek medical attention if you arrive to your appointment exhibiting one or more of the following: 

  • Fever or chills
  • New or worsening cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • New onset muscle or body aches
  • Headache 
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Fever of 100.4° F or higher 

The health and safety of everyone in the salon, including you, is incredibly important. We will reschedule your appointment when you are feeling better. 

Masked appointments are available upon request. 

Silent appointments are available upon request. 

Salon chair can be moved to accommodate a wheelchair. A portable sink is available to accommodate a wheelchair as well. 

Late/Cancellation Policy

Your time is valuable, and I want to make scheduling as easy as possible for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, no worries—just give me a heads-up 24 hours in advance via text or email.

I get it; life doesn't always follow our plans, and sometimes you might need to cancel or reschedule last minute. To keep things fair and flexible, I use a 3-strike system for last-minute cancellations:

  • 1st Strike: No worries! Your deposit remains valid for your next appointment, and we'll find a new time that suits you.
  • 2nd Strike: If there's a second last-minute hiccup, you will be charged 50% of the service price. But don't worry, your deposit is still good for when we can reschedule.
  • 3rd Strike: After the third time, a 50% charge of the service price applies, and there's a possibility of losing your deposit. You might also need to pre-pay the full service price when booking future appointments.

The 3-strikes policy operates on a rolling 12-month period from the first cancellation. Once 12 months have passed since the first cancellation, we hit reset on the strikes.

If you no call/no show to a scheduled appointment, you will be required to pay the full price of the service and you will lose your deposit. Clients that arrive 15 minutes or later  to their scheduled appointment will be considered a no show! Until the full service price is paid, you will be unable to book future appointments.

Deposits only go towards completed services. They will not cover cancellation/no show fees!
